Arabic Dance Party

  • 235 North 1st Street West Missoula, Montana, 59802 United States (map)

It’s an Arabic Dance Party!!

Learn about a different culture through dance, music, food and community!

Leaf and Quiet invites the Missoula community to a lively social gathering celebrating the Arab culture through music, dance, and food.

Arabic dance features various traditional, folk, and classical dance styles originating from the Arab world (Middle East and North Africa). Common forms of Arabic dance include popular styles like belly dancing (raqs sharqi) and Dabke line dancing. These events blend traditional rhythms with modern Arabic pop, Shaabi (folk-pop), or club remixes, emphasizing community celebration, high energy, and festive, communal movements.

Our Arabic-speaking community in Missoula, Montana, is a small but growing population often supported by local refugee resettlement efforts (such as the International Rescue Committee) and the University of Montana. The community includes refugees, residents, and university students, with a strong emphasis on community support, cultural sharing, and finding adequate space for prayer.
Leaf and Quiet deeply understands the importance of music, dance and community so with the help of members of our own Arab community, Leaf and Quiet is hoping to create an evening where people who have had to leave their homelands can experience a community of dance and music reminiscent of home.

This is an incredible opportunity for important cultural exchange and understanding for both Arabs and non-Arabs alike.

We hope to see you all soon!
